This Chinese American Military Exhibition celebrates the military service of Chinese Americans from the Civil War to Afghanistan. Chinatown To Battleground exhibit features over 200 personal military artifacts from Montgomery Hom’s collection along with custom designed banners and multimedia elements. These showcase Chinese Americans who served in every theater of war and in every branch of the armed forces. The Chinatown to Battleground exhibit, will be deployed later in a nationwide roadshow as a source of pride for the Chinese American community and its veterans The exhibit makes its Silicon Valley/ South Bay debut during summer 2022 and is sponsored by the Chinese Historical Cultural Project (CHCP) / Chinese American Historical Museum (CAHM). CHCP’s film and oral history project, War and Remembrance are part of the exhibit.

Their mission is to ensure that Chinese American military service is not forgotten, ignored or silent. In 2021 CAGIP published the book Fighting On All Fronts – Profiles Of WWII Chinese Americans From The Golden State.
